This illustrated catalogue was published on the occasion of the exhibition Martial Raysse: 1960 - 1974, the artist's first solo presentation in the Unites States in over fourty years, held at Luxembourg & Dayan, New York, in 2013. It includes two essays by Alison Gingeras - one on the life, art, and politics of Raysse, another on his re-appropriation of historic paintings from the past four centuries - as well as a reprint of the 1965 essay by Otto Hahn on the artist's processes of de-naturalization, and a new, translated essay by art historian Anaël Pigeat on his films.
