MINIMONUMENTS
For this year’s edition of Frieze Masters Luxembourg & Dayan is pleased to present MINIMONUMENTS, a display of works in small scale by Rodolfo Aricò, Stefano Arienti, Jean (Hans) Arp, Enrico Baj, Alighiero Boetti, Alberto Burri, Alexander Calder, César, Gino De Dominicis, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Giacometti, Fausto Melotti, Claes Oldenburg, Steven Parrino, Mimmo Rotella, Mario Schifano, Andy Warhol, and Franz West.
In response to its current New York exhibition – Alberto Giacometti: Intimate Immensity –which focuses on the small scale sculptures that Giacometti produced in the years 1935-1945, the display at Frieze Masters brings together a range of artists reduce who experimented with the reduction of scale in their work as a way to explore notions of monumentality.
